Thanks for visiting my website. I’m Josh, and I like to help people find their voice by building a safe and trusting space together.

About me

I am an integratively trained counsellor and I work with many different issues including:

trauma, shame, intrusive thoughts, sexuality and coming out, addiction and compulsions, anxiety and depression, bereavement and loss, managing anger

In my career I have worked closely with students, artists, and patients in an NHS setting. I’m interested in working with trauma, and how giving expression to deeply buried feelings can set us on the path to recovery. I have particular interest in helping members of the LGBT+ population, who have been shown to experience poorer mental health than their straight / cisgender counterparts.

At present I work online and can offer flexibility and affordability. Following an initial consultation at a reduced price, if we agree to work together I charge £35 per session. My normal place of work is Central London.

Contact me at counsellorjosh@gmail.com to arrange an initial session.

It’s good to talk. Even better to be heard.

“Expressing things in the written form is different to saying them out loud, especially if you are given permission to keep the resulting piece to yourself. Writing for oneself with the possibility of that work never being shown to another soul is a particularly powerful practice. You can say whatever you want, without having to worry about style, grammar and spelling mistakes. You are free to express your deepest, perhaps most painful thoughts without the prospect of external judgement looming over your shoulder.”

If you need to talk, I’d like to listen.
